There are loads of ways your school can support Action for Stammering Children – and every little bit makes a big difference.
From giving us a shout-out in your school newsletter or on social media, to holding fun events to raise money, your support helps us run projects, fund research, and speak up for the 8% of children and young people across the UK who stammer.
Get involved with fundraising
Fancy holding a bake sale, a competition, or even a raffle? Fundraising is a great way to help our charity while also raising awareness of what it’s like to stammer. It’s fun, gets people talking, and makes a real impact.
Need some inspiration? Our website has loads of ideas and info about upcoming events – check it out and see what you could organise with your friends or teachers.
Let your teachers know about the ASC Stammer Awareness Toolkit
We’ve created something called the ASC Stammer Awareness Toolkit – it’s an online resource designed to help teachers and school staff understand stammering better and create a more supportive environment in school.
If your teachers sign up to use the Toolkit, they’ll be helping not just the students who stammer, but also helping change attitudes and tackle the stigma that some young people who stammer can face.
Share this with your teachers: ASC Stammer Awareness Toolkit - Action for Stammering Children
Whether your school shares our message, raises funds, or uses our Toolkit, every step helps make things better for children and young people who stammer across the UK.
