Here at ASC we offer a range of projects which may be of interest to the young people you work with, especially if they are interested in any of the following:
- Meeting other young people who stammer
- Increasing their confidence
- Building their resilience
- Joining the ASC Community to get involved in our projects, campaigns, advocacy work and research
You can find out more about the in-person and online group therapy projects we offer to young people on our website.
Another great way to meet other young people who stammer is through joining the ASC Youth Panel. This opportunity may be of particular interest to young people who would like to be involved in supporting our stammering advocacy work. Our Youth Panel feed into our strategy, making sure that our activities are meeting the needs of other young people in the UK. They work together on awareness-raising campaigns, work with the staff team on new initiatives and represent the charity in the media.
For young people looking ahead to higher education or the world of work, they can access inspiration through the resources provided by our Stambassador Network or expert guidance through our 6-month career mentoring scheme.
If the young person you work with has questions about stammering, or about raising awareness of stammering at their school, please feel free to share this link to our FAQs for Children and Young People, to our Top Tips and our Resources.
